Youth Programs
Akron-UMADAOP, Inc. offers programs designed for youth from six to seventeen years of age. The programs provide education, awareness and early intervention techniques to youth, assisting them in making better life choices. In addition, youth are provided with personal development, leadership skills, training and recreational events.

All youth programs use an evidence-based curriculum by Dr. Gilbert J. Botvin, Cornell University Medical College and Thinking for Change.
Youth Led Prevention Leadership Council
Youth Led Prevention is a youth driven program that promotes healthy lifestyle choices free of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs through organized effective prevention strategies. It was created to bring together youth to assist in developing a sense of responsibility for their community, while expanding personal growth and providing an opportunity to connect with like-minded peers.
Youth Led Prevention was created to involve youth in the planning, organizing, and implementation of a prevention program by serving others, for the betterment of self and community.

Young Ladies of Distinction
Akron-UMADAOP, Inc.'s Young Ladies of Distinction provides prevention and empowerment to young women by building their self-esteem and enhancing their abilities to make positive life choices to become resilient, responsible, and successful.

Young Ladies of Distinction was created to assist in the positive personal development of young women through life skills education and self-empowerment.

Distinguished Gents
The Distinguish Gents: Together We Can Build Our Community is a youth mentoring program that has been established to teach and build young men, 9-17 years of age, into becoming prominent individuals in their environment, communities and schools. We will do this by teaching exemplary various charter traits. Our lesson includes, but is limited to, the following character traits:

The objective of group is to assist in the decrease of disciplinary problems and other challenges that faces young males in the home, at school and in the community. In addition, this group will be given the tools need to prevent drug use and/or abuse that is on the rise in the life of our young people. The program will increase the confidence level of each young man so that they can become productive leaders and citizens in our communities and society.
